First of all, let me apologize for failing to start my interactive novel in September as promised. Both my husband and myself have been dealing with some complicated medical issues and so THAT ambitious project is on hold… In other words, the book has been shelved before it has ever been written. LOL. But it will happen, I promise.
As the year comes to an end, I believe we all reflect on our disappointments and look forward to coming opportunities as we usher in a new year. At least that is how it works for me. And in the new year, I plan to take my writing career by storm and get back on the move.
You know, my pastor gave a sermon not too long ago about life’s ups and downs. I think he phrased it as, “Sometimes you are the windshield and sometimes you are the bug.” Well, I know I have felt like the bug a LOT this year. But I have a renewed faith in my God and the power of love and healing that His promise offers. I am a great admirer of Joyce Meyer and watching her on television and attending her conferences has made me realize how much I lose out focusing on the negative and not the positive.
“Mercy is when you don’t get what you deserve, and grace is when you get what you don’t deserve.”
My Heavenly Father has gifted me with both this year and I know without a doubt He will do so all of my life. And by being generous and forgiving to all around me, He will bless me as well.
I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and is planning on a happy and productive New Year. Blessings to all.
