So my publisher is going to be releasing their officially line up for the spring this Friday, but I thought I would give followers of my blog a heads up. Yes BROKER will be released March 8, 2012.   And for anyone living in the Austin/Central Texas area, I will be doing a book signing with fellow author Michael Schneider (Blind Faith, The Darkness of Perfection) on December 3, 2011 at the Cafe Java over by ACC Northridge from 11-1. Hope to see you there.   TTFN, kg

Opinions Please (Especially From Other Authors)

Today, as I sat typing one of the last three chapters to my latest novel, BITTERSWEET HARVEST, it occurred to me, not for the first time, that I use a lot of television, movie and music references. Writing in a contemporary genre, I suppose it is easy to do so. Nowadays, that’s how most of my intended audience would relate to my characters, situations, settings, and what not. Is this a cop out? To me, the author, it allows a freedom to focus on the plot and not have to spend a lot of time detailing the “boring stuff” like …

WOW! This is Great

Joined several author and book blogging communities. The support on these sights is phenomenal. I wish Congress was just as supportive. LOL. I know the Congressional Reform Act of 2011 is a hoax, even though I put it on my Facebook page, but Jeez Louise… wouldn’t it be great if our elected officials started to LISTEN to the constituency instead of the big businesses? Just look at what is happening to generic drug manufacturers? They are getting bought out by the name-brand pharmaceutical companies who turn around and cease the production of the generic versions. AND THE FDA DOES NOTHING …

Yesterday was a blast chatting with JD Watts and Lindsey Gray on Shark Radio. And hats off to the authors of my Publishing House, The Writer’s Coffee Shop, who made the cut for the holiday anthology. .99 for the ebook edition. You can’t beat that with a stick. Ok, back BITTERSWEET HARVEST. Only five more chapters to go, I think. We’ll see… TTFN kg

We ARE Hot and Heavy Into Editing With BROKER!

Posted On Oct 14 2011 by

Yay! Finally started editing BROKER this week. Although it is kind of hard to keep my mind into BITTERSWEET HARVEST, which I have set a personal goal to turn in on Halloween–since it IS a chiller thriller–I am now having to get back into the groove with Steve and Chelsea. Good thing I am a woman since we multi-task the best. LOL! I guess I will be in for it if my hubby reads this blog. TTFN, kg

Well My New Book Cover is Almost Done!!

Ha ha, I STILL haven’t started editing BROKER but hey, I’m starting chapter 15 on BITTERSWEET HARVEST. So here’s a quick blurb I have come up with to whet your whistles. Dr. Lucas Butler never imagined that the sexy blonde who lured him into a couple of one-night stands would turn out to be none other than the notorious Family Guy serial killer. His mistake almost cost him his live and the life of his wife and sons. Piper Butler didn’t know if she could ever forgive her husband for his infidelity, especially when the crazy bitch he screwed around …

Part I of Bittersweet Harvest is Complete!!

Posted On Sep 19 2011 by

So I am officially one-third of the way through with my third novel, BITTERSWEET HARVEST. Part I–Sowing was the hardest to do since I had to be descriptive with the murders of entire families. I made the deaths of children quick. Not even I could stomach the torture of children, although sadly, I realize it happens. Now I am working on Part II–Reaping. Will offer an update when that part is through. That will take the book two-thirds of the way to completion. TTFN kg
